Shallow Thought Disguise

I waited for you, more than you told me
More than I wanted, more than you’ll ever know.
Placed under a rock you never showed me,
Just how easily and quick, my thoughts could ever be lost and corrode.

Taken for grant was all the sunshine,
Beaming down so clean, even in its stream and oh so kind.
But now the moments are being tested,
The questions still remain, our lives are not the same in my own mind.

And if the way ahead’s too small, we’ll rise to our own call,
Deciding to be sure on people and their kindness evermore.

Everyone’s gone mad again, closed their eyes to the very end.
