Hours……….., placed between the sheets,
Dreams that often question the need to sleep.
Tours………., of thoughts, stuck on repeat,
Time that often wonders into it’s favourite niche.
Can I be the one to be sure?
Hours… don’t lie, love don’t try.
And you ask yourself the question, in your fragile mind,
‘Do people always love you like they, like they did before?’

And I used to liked it so much more,
As a child in my own game,
In a time when life seemed a lot more sure,
And my mind was easier to tame.

Flowers …………picking off the leaves,
Love me nots, waste some space left between the weeds,
Of minds…………, of thoughts stuck on repeat,
Days that like to drift into their own type of defeat.
Can I be the hook or the lure?
Hours don’t lie, love don’t try.

And you ask yourself the question,
‘Have you been walking blind, across a frozen lake,
you’ve walked a, walked along before?’
